Not just “baby sitting”, Queens Center Of The Arts was created by professional artists, certified teachers, and fitness instructors. The QCOTA program is designed to Support, Teach, Engage, and Inspire Learning through Creative and Physical Activities for children 3 - 16 years old. Each day, for up to 4 hours, your child can learn professional techniques, use real equipment and supplies, and explore Arts, Science, Math, Dance, or Karate/Exercise. The Arts range from Drawing, Comic Book Design, Tee Shirt/Accessory Painting, Culinary Arts, Drama, Painting, Soap/Bath Fizz Making to Lego's, Snap Circuits, City Building, to Dance, Karate, or a Karaoke Sing-Off.
We encourage learning through trial and error. We believe that vocabulary, literacy, team work, social skills, entrepreneurship, and logical thinking are important. We introduce children to their own hidden talents, new hobbies, and the idea of Invention.
Complete with history, children learn about the famous people of their ethnic group who paved the way before them.Inventors such as Madam CJ Walker, Thomas Jennings, Elijah McCoy, Count Basie, & Hank Aaron.
Our goal is to prepare students to really enjoy learning, to be proud of their history, and to have a sense of focus, purpose, and college/career mindsets. Choose a 3 day, 5 day, or 6 day per week schedule and let us work together to give our children the kind of program with an amazing assortment of arts, agriculture, community service, entrepreneurship, invention, science, history, literacy, & math concepts that they will truly benefit from having!
Limited Space: Early Registration Open From July 19, 2017 to August 16th 2017.
